Clarion Heights Campground

Clarion Heights Campground has been previously used for its large stone, coal, and clay mine. The property has been virtually untouched for over 60 years. Beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Small private spot on the top of the hill. Lots of wildlife and close to many area attractions like 4 wheeler trails, fishing, hunting, boating, and more. Including two lodging sites and three RV/Tent sites on 53 acres.

What Campers Say

We stayed on Site #2, which is the first site to the left on the campground road. It features an open meadow to your left with a volleyball net (byo ball), and the site in the right corner. The site has a primitive stone patio with fire pit and large stones for seating, wood table, and fire grate and plenty of tree coverage and grassy space for tents. The Porta John is right next to the site, is clean and stocked with tp and paper towels. It is a beautiful and quiet area! Easy booking, easy check-in. Fantastic hosts! We will be back.

The site was very cool and the host had a fire going when we arrived since we were arriving late. Great value on firewoood and if you walk to the end of the road, it’s a beautiful overlook of Johnsonburg. It’s remote, quiet and peaceful. Thanks!

Our group had a wonderful experienced. Last minute changes were handled stress-free. Any questions we had prior we answered very quickly. When we arrived, we were greeted at the site and the hosts started a fire for us, so we could set up camp. Firewood was available if we needed it at the site as well. The portapotty was clean and close to our camp. Our group will definitely be back next year. Can't wait!!!
